situada dentro del territorio del Duque de Brunswick, a orillas de un riachuelo, a unas 25 millas de distancia de Brunswick. Aquí nos encontramos con un caballero y dos damas que viajaban en la misma dirección; almorzamos en la misma sala y como amenazaba lluvia, les ofrecimos nuestro carruaje con cierta cortesía, para instalar a las damas, pues el suyo era abierto, como los del país. No aceptaron y partimos hacia Magdeburgo. Con esfuerzo y la ayuda de un hijo de Vulcano, nos movimos a paso lento hasta la aldea de Barnstedt, donde el caballero y las dos damas arriba mencionados, nos alcanzaron y se detuvieron aunque no era su etapa.
