I trouble my friend Colonel Miranda with the Inclosed Letter for His Excellency, I cannot ask You to Transíate it; but if you wil be pleased to explain it to His Excellency I will thank you: because the sooner the business of Clearing your Town of Deserted Soilors, is executed, the better: and you know such a Letter may not be prudent to give to any one to be Translated.
Inclosed is also, for His Excellency the proposed method of the Fleet Sailing, also a descriptive List of all the Vessels going on this Expedition, oblige me in presenting it to His Excellency, and in assuring yourself that I am with a truc Esteem and great Respect.

Molesto a mi amigo el coronel Miranda con la carta adjunta para Su Excelencia; no puedo pedirle que la traduzca, pero si Vm. quisiera explicársela a Su Excelencia, mucho se lo agradecería: porque mientras más pronto se ejecute el asunto de limpiar su ciudad de marineros desertores, mejor será, y usted sabe que no es prudente dar a cualquiera una carta como esa para hacerla traducir.
Va incluido también, para Su Excelencia, el método propuesto para la Flota Velera, una lista descriptiva de todos los bajeles que parten en esta expedición. Agradézcole presentarle a Su Excelencia, con la seguridad de mi alta consideración y respeto.
