Wednesday March 21th.
Abouí 10 Oclock General Campbell sent Colonel Dicson of the 16th Regt and Lieutenant Gordon his Aid de Camp as a Flag of Tronce to General Galvez. About 3 Oclock 2 Briggs and 3 Row Galleys carne in.
Thursday 22d.
The Enemy Landed on Jarter Point under cover of the Galvez Brigg and 2 Row Galleys, about Noon Genl. Galvez sent a Flagg to General Campbell. 4 Oclock 2 Potackques and 3 small vessels carne in.
Friday 23d.
One Oclock a Sloop carne over the Barr 4 Oclock 16 vessels passed the Fort of the Clifts About 6 Oclock the 16th and the 60th Regiments evacuated the Town of Pensacola and took their Posts at the 2 Redoubts. The 16th the advanced Redoubt the 60th the center Redoubt.
Saturday 24th.
Nine Oclock the Spanish Admiral got underway and stood to the Eastward. Mr. Stephenson went as a Flagg of Trouce to the Don, from the governor, concerning the Town, Women, and Children; A large Transport of the Enemys struck Ground on the 10 f oot Bank as she was coming in.
Sunday 25th.
Nine Oclock our Indian brought in 23 Horses from the Enemy and 2 Sculps.
Monday 26th.
The Enemy's Fleet weighed Anchor, and took their Stations between Moors and Suttons Lagoons.
We immagining they would Land sent out a Detachment of a Hundred Men, Joined by 250 Indians 3 Boats of the Enemy attempted to Land; but the eagerness of the Indians, advanced & drove them back or otherwise the whole would have fell into the hands of us.

Viernes, 23 de marzo.—
A la una, una corbeta cruzó la barra. A las cuatro, 16 navíos pasaron el fuerte de Barrancas. Sobre las seis, los 16 y 60 regimientos evacuaron la ciudad de Pensacola y tomaron sus posiciones en los dos reductos. El 16, el reducto avanzado, el 60?, el reducto central.
Sábado, 24 de marzo.—
A las nueve, el almirante español zarpó y navegó hacia el Este. El señor Stephenson fue como parlamentario al Don, de parte del gobernador, para tratar de la ciudad, mujeres y niños. Un gran buque transporte del enemigo encalló en el banco diez pies cuando entraba.
Domingo, 25 de marzo.—
A las nueve, nuestro indio trajo 23 caballos del enemigo y dos cueros cabelludos.
Lunes, 26 de marzo.—
La flota del enemigo levó ancla y tomaron sus posiciones entre Moors y Suttons Lagoons. Nosotros, pensando que tomarían tierra enviamos un destacamento de 100 hombres junto con 250 indios. Tres botes del enemigo intentaron tomar tierra; pero los indios impacientes avanzaron y los rechazaron; de otra manera, todo hubiese caído en nuestras manos.
