Asistimos a la Revista, que fue mandada por un viejo oficial veterano; las tropas se reúnen en las afueras de la ciudad y el oficial de turno dirige los ejercicios; marchan en columnas con mucha elegancia. De aquí fuimos a caballo al campo, distante unas cuatro millas, donde la artillería se ejercita para la Revista; nos quedamos hasta las doce muy entretenidos. Según convenido, asistimos a las cuatro, tomamos café y regresamos. Fuimos al teatro; en el palco, bastantes oficiales británicos, el General Musgrave, etc.
6 de septiembre.
Escribí al señor y a la Sra. Adams. Museo de cera. Almorzamos con el cuerpo diplomático por invitación del residente español, señor Azanza8. Conocimos a dos caballeros que hablaban inglés. Pasamos una tarde agradable y nos pusimos bajo la dirección de nuestro guía local, quien nos divirtió durante una hora; es admirado por toda Alemania. Hoy conocimos al señor Carrara, un italiano, y al abate Grüber, asistente del Conde Rewiski, ministro del Emperador, que va a Londres.
