Trank you, My Good Friend, for your kind and obliging offer, & invitation, which I would accept & profit of with pleasure, if I had not Buisness to do at the offices & in the City. But Circumstanced as I am, it will be more convenient to me at an Hotel, besides if I had a prívate Lodging, I should not know how to place my carriage. I will therefore trespass on your goodness & beg you to secure for me & my servant an apartment, either at Floddon's Hotel in Oxford Road or at Ibbetson's Hotel in Veré, street near Oxford Chappel unless you know of any Hotel near approached to you. I shall how ever speud as much of every day, whilst I stay in Town, with you as I can and Bine with you en Philosophe.
I hope to be in London on Wednesday some time between the hours of 12 an 3—but am not able to fix precisely the very hour.—I will cali at your House as I come into London, and will hope to find you at Home.—I hope the confining you at home for these three hours is not taking too great a liberty. My passing through London, is intirely on your account

Gracias, mi buen amigo, por su amable y atento ofrecimiento e invitación, que aceptaría y aprovecharía con gusto si no tuviera asuntos que atender en las oficinas y en la City. Pero estando como estoy me será más práctico un hotel, además, si tuviera un alojamiento privado no sabría donde colocar mi carruaje. Por lo tanto me aprovecharé de la bondad de V. y le rogaré consiga para mi y mi criado un aposento en el hotel Floddon, en Oxford Road, o en el hotel Ibbetson, en Veré Street, cerca de Oxford Chapel, al menos que V. conozca algún hotel más próximo de V. Sin embargo mientras esté en la ciudad pasaré tanto tiempo como pueda con V. y almorzaré con V. "en Philosophe".
Espero estar en Londres, en algún momento, entre las 12 y las 3 pero no puedo fijar con precisión la hora exacta. Pasaré por la casa de V. al entrar en Londres y espero encontrarle allí. Espero que confinar a V. en casa durante estas tres horas no será tomarse una libertad demasiado grande. Mi paso por Londres es enteramente por ver a V.
