Mr. Stephenson went as a Fíagg to the Don.
Monday 9th.
At Day Light the Artillery Man in Fort George Fired a 24 Pounder for the Morning Gun, which burst but Fortunately did no Mischief; 5 Oclock the Enemy liad a Brigg join them John and Alesandra Mr Gilliverys carne in from the Nation with 70 Indians.
Tuesday 10th.
One of the Enemy who was taken at Baton Rouge and had Inlisted in the Regiment of Louisciana Deserted, and join'd his former Regiment of Waldeck. He says the Enemy are very bad off for Provisions—8 Men only get 1 Pound Meat each Day.
Wednesday 11th.
Nothing Extraordinary.
Thursday 12th.
The Enemy was seen reconoitring on one of the opposite Hillis, a party of Indians went out, with the Light Horse, who had a Skirmish with them Lieute. Pinhom of the Horse received a Shot in his Head. We Fired a Number of Cannon from our Fort and advanced redoubt, a Grape Shot from one of the Guns in the Fort killed a Private, and wounded a Serjeant of the Waldeck Regt.
Friday 13th.
The Enemy took their Ground on one of the opposite Hills and are throwing up a Breast Work in Front of their Encampment, but the Distance is so great this work will do us no material Damage A Potachque Passed the Fort at the Clifts and joined the Enemy Fleet.

Lunes, 9 de abril.—
Al amanecer, el artillero del fuerte George hizo fuego con un cañón de 24 para la salva matinal, que estalló, pero afortunadamente no hubo desgracias. A las cinco, un bergantín enemigo se juntó al "John" y "Alesandra"… El señor Gilliverys llegó de la Nación con 70 indios.
Martes, 10 de abril.—
Un adversario que fue capturado en Baton Rouge, y se alistó en el regimiento de la Luisiana, desertó y se unió a su antiguo regimiento de Waldeck. Dice que el enemigo está a falta de provisiones. Ocho hombres reciben únicamente una libra de carne al día.
Miércoles, 11 de abril.—
Nada de extraordinario.
Jueves, 12 de abril.—
Se vio al enemigo haciendo un reconocimiento en una de las colinas de enfrente; un grupo de indios que salió con la caballería ligera, tuvo con él una escaramuza. El teniente Pinhom, de la caballería, recibió una bala en la cabeza. Disparamos unos cuantos cañonazos desde nuestro fuerte y reducto avanzado; una metralla de uno de los cañones del fuerte mató a un soldado raso e hirió a un sargento del regimiento Waldeck.
Viernes, 13 de abril.—
El enemigo tomó posición en una de las colinas de enfrente y están construyendo un parapeto delante de su campamento, pero la distancia es tan grande que este trabajo no nos hará ningún daño material. Un patache pasó el fuerte de Barrancas y se unió a la flota enemiga.
