The Attorney General, in his observation, upon the character of General Don Francisco Miranda gave vent to that happy flow of Irony which so peculiarly distinguishes him. Against this Sentence he appealed, and pending the appeal the imprisonment was remitted, through the interference of Lord Elgin, the English Ambassador at Madrid.
